  • Course objectives

    The Bachelor's Degree in Distribution and Logistics Management aims to prepare professionals to manage the physical and informational flows of people, goods and materials, from the point of origin to the point of consumption, in accordance with the needs of customers in the Distribution and Logistics sectors. In adapting to the Bologna Process, the harmonization of content with the provisions of the European Logistics Certification Council, responsible for the approval of the European Certification of the European Logistics Association, for Senior level certification, was privileged. Primarily oriented towards the direct exit to active life, the Degree in GDL aims to provide graduates with the technical and operational knowledge and the mastery of new technologies, considered essential for the development of the skills and abilities necessary for the professional exercise of management functions in the field of Distribution and Logistics.

    The Bachelor's Degree in Distribution and Logistics Management (GDL) provides solid training in the areas of distribution management and logistics management, allowing access to a wide range of professional opportunities. The course syllabus has a flexible structure that allows the student to orient his curriculum according to his interests and motivation and to respond to some needs of the specialization required for the exercise of his function, through the necessary and appropriate adaptations to the evolutions both in the area of Distribution and Logistics Management, or from the Society.
    The existence of the Curricular Internship or Applied Organizational Project in the study plan is intended to be an opportunity for direct and continuous contact with professional practice in a real work context and an opportunity to develop skills in the field of scientific research, creating the basis for its understanding and development, with the aim of applying and developing scientific skills, technical and professional skills, developing in students the ability to enter the profession.

  • Career opportunities

    The Degree in Distribution and Logistics Management allows access to the European Certification in Logistics from the European Logistics Association, for Junior level certification.The acquisition of skills in the field of distribution and logistics allows graduates to develop professional activities as managers in logistics operators, warehouse managers, transport managers, reverse logistics managers, customer managers, store managers, purchasing managers.

    Recognition of prior learning is carried out in accordance with the Academic Regulations of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

  • Admission and entry requirements

    Entrance Exams Two of the following exams: 04 Economics 16 Mathematics 18 Portuguese Minimum Grades Application grade: 100 points Entrance exams: 95 points Calculation Formula Secondary school average: 50% Entrance exams: 50% Other forms of access: - Re-entry and Change of Institution/Course Pair Regimes; - Special Access Contest for Graduates Vocational Pathways; - Special Access Contest for CTeSP Holders; - Special Access Contest for Test Holders for People Over 23 years old; - Special Access Contest for Holders of Other Higher Education Courses; - Special Contest for International Students.
