    a) Draw up the profile and/or life history of the person in the context of
    family and/or community;
    b) Analyse existing family support in the community;
    c) Propose the appropriate response(s) to the profile and/or life history
    of the person and/or family in the context of family and/or community;
    d) Use intervention techniques appropriate to the family and community;
    e) Carry out activities tailored to the needs of the family and
    community;
    f) Evaluate the activities proposed and carried out;
    g) Propose the redefinition of the activity plan in accordance with the
    evaluation carried out;
    h) Analyse indicators related to an area of intervention
    social;
    i) Consult information relevant to the area using
    digital research resources.

  • Career opportunities

    Family support workers, community support officers, provide guidance and social support tailored to family and/or community needs, working with most vulnerable childhood, particularly early childhood.

  • Recognition of prior learning

    Recognition of prior learning is carried out in accordance with the Academic Regulations of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

  • Admission and entry requirements

    Hold secondary education or equivalent, which includes the subject of Portuguese; hold the M23 exams for access to the course; or hold a technological specialisation diploma, a higher professional technical diploma or a higher education degree.
