    The Master's Degree in Strategic Human Resources Management aims to contribute to strengthening the professionalization of the field of human resources management, through the development of knowledge and skills in strategic areas of action, while seeking to develop the ability to participate in the definition of organizational strategies and in the autonomous management of projects and teams. This is a cycle of advanced training studies that seeks to respond to a social demand resulting from the growing professionalization of the field of human resources management due to the transformations associated with the Portuguese competitiveness model.

    The Master's Degree in Strategic Human Resources Management contributes to the training of advanced human resources so necessary to pursue a competitive development model based on knowledge and innovation and, at the same time, promotes social cohesion. Articulating with the 1st cycle training offer, the proposed study plan assumes its complementary character in relation to the objectives of the 1st cycle in Human Resources Management, while allowing the continuation of studies, the deepening of knowledge and skills by graduates in the areas of human resources management or related, as well as other professionals who work in the area. Organized on a semester basis, corresponding to 120 credits (ECTS), the study plan comprises a one-year teaching part consisting of five curricular units in each semester.
    The second year is intended for the development of an applied research work or internship complemented with a Seminar curricular unit in order to create a space for sharing experiences and critical reflection on the work developed, the organization of the professional field and its ethical and deontological requirements. The curricular units are developed with the aim of providing the consolidation of specific skills in the area of strategic management of human resources, based on the reinforcement of general skills in the area of business sciences that provide the integration and global perspective of the professional activities they will develop.
