Maintenance technicians with the right skills to ensure and improve the availability, reliability, performance and lifespan of industrial equipment are increasingly sought after and valued by companies. This is because improving the quality of products and services, increasing productivity and reducing manufacturing times and costs are directly dependent on how maintenance is managed in companies. Comprising a teaching staff with extensive professional and academic experience, the CTeSP in Industrial Maintenance (MI) enables students to acquire knowledge and skills that allow them to quickly integrate into the job market, serving as a basis for greater and better professional and personal development.

Learning objectives and skills to be developed

The MI CTeSP aims to develop skills that enable students to plan, carry out, analyse and implement methodologies, programmes, procedures and/or maintenance actions on industrial equipment. In addition, knowledge is developed in areas that are directly related to maintenance management and that contribute to improving the performance of industrial and service organisations.

Recognition of prior learning

Recognition of prior learning is carried out in accordance with the Academic Regulations of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

Admission requirements

Hold a secondary education qualification or equivalent, which includes the subject of Mathematics; hold the M23 exams for access to the course; or hold a technological specialisation diploma, a higher vocational technical diploma or a higher education degree.
